Changes to the Site
Not really much to post besides I updated WordPress (the script I use on here) to a new version, and changed the theme. Other than that, things are pretty much the same.

So I figured I would make a quick post about what I’ve been up to for those who care.
Yesterday I went to my friend John’s house to make up license plate mounts for my buddy Zack’s Dads plow truck – it was definitely fun to actually get out and do something for once instead of sitting here staring at a computer screen all day
I haven’t done much coding today, but I did go through and document the code a little bit so people who test it have at least some clue about what’s going on and what goes where
Today (so far) I have unloaded one load of stone, and will probably do one or two more. I also did one load yesterday before I went to John’s. Me and my Dad are also going to finally bury our Internet lines so they aren’t just laying on the ground.
Also, I probably wont post anything Friday-Sunday night because I will probably be at my girlfriends house helping her Dad split wood and spending some time with her
Oh yeah, I also finished the Battlefield 3 campaign today, but I’ll write a review on what I thought about it when I have time
Those that play Minecraft or have played at least once and have explored a cave or two know about coal.. The gray block spotted with blackness, yeah, that’s coal.. Though coal is extremely useful, it is also extremely annoying and distracting! I’d like to see one person, an avid Minecraft player, try to tell me that when they first start a world they don’t grab every piece of coal they can get
So I’ve actually been surprisingly busy lately, including the fact that I have felt like complete shit the past couple of days which means I’m either doing stuff I have to do or I’m sleeping or laying down. But, somehow, I’ve managed to get stuff done ![]()
So I did something today I was hoping I would never have to do – I made it so you can only comment on my blog if you are a registered (and logged-in) user on my site. If you’re not, you can’t comment. Hopefully this will bring in some “actual” comments, but if not: I don’t mind talking to myself
haha
As some of you may or may not know, I am on YouTube. If you weren’t aware of it, or don’t really care about what I’m doing on my channel, then don’t bother reading this post because that’s what it is about
0% Publishing Issue
When you finish uploading a video, you get to the publishing state – basically letting you know that YouTube is “rendering” the video to be viewed. However, the percent of publishing sometimes gets stuck at 0 – even if the video is actually finished publishing.
Broken Subscription Boxes
Due to the 0% publishing issue, I am assuming that is why most user’s subscription boxes don’t show new videos.
Unable to Upload content
Again, thanks to the 0% publishing issue, some people are unable to upload videos. I for one get stuck on the uploading process itself because it says the video did upload, but the percent bar just sticks at 99%
So yeah, this post isn’t really informative or anything.. But I felt the need to post it anyways
haha
It is finally here! Surprisingly, not too long after 1.9 Prerelease 1 was released.

With Facebook launching the new time line profile soon, I figured now would be as good a time as any to make a tutorial on how to easily manage your profile once you have the new profile, as well as some changes that were made. Also, as a note, I will be expanding this post as I find more information and tips! So feel free to check back now and then to see if there’s new information
Managing Posts
While finding and deleting posts on your current profile isn’t very hard, it’s about the same to do on the new timeline. Basically, you put your mouse over a post – two icons will “pop up” to the right of the post. One of them is to highlight that post, which will expand the post to the width of your profile and make it more noticeable than the rest of your post(s).
Finding Old Posts
On your current profile, you don’t really need to “search” for your older posts, they simply load as you scroll down your, or a friends, profile. However, on the new time line you can find posts by year, as well as month.
Highlighting Important Moments
As it currently is, you cannot add a specific moment, i.e. getting your driver’s license, on your profile unless you post it as a status. However, with the new profile you can do just that! Simply go to the year (example: 2010), and roughly scroll down your time line (the middle line) until the time, and add the event. Note: You have to be on the middle line, or you will get confused. One way to know you can add an “event” or occasion is because you will see a little + icon on your line.
Want to highlight one event?
Often times, people like to highlight one event or thing that they do, or have done, that they are especially proud of. For me, I would have something related to website design or coding, as I do both of those things and am very proud of my work. However, say you wanted to highlight your recent marriage with a single picture – you can do just that by adding what Facebook refers to as a “cover”. To add one, simply hover over the right top side of your profile, and click “Add Cover” – from there, choose (or upload) an image; and you’re done!

While recently on a vacation with my Mom, Dad and my girlfriend Brie in Stockton, New York – my Mom found this sign. We were all pretty amused by it
With 1.8.1 being released not too long ago, I was very surprised to find that Beta 1.9.1 Prerelease was available for download and test. This prerelease doesn’t have that many new things but some is always better than none, right?
Also, before I get to what has changed, been added, etc. – I must say to not even bother downloading this update
if you like your game to be lag free, as it can lag heavily from time to time.
Change Log:
- Swamp biomes will be generated
- Water now has a “swampy” feel to it if found in the respective biome
- Vines become swampy if by swamp water
- Jumping by holding the space bar is disabled (but will be brought back in the next update, according to Notch on Twitter)
- NPC’s; though they don’t seem to actually do anything besides walk around
Other than that, I don’t really think that anything else was added or otherwise changed.
Awesome article!
