Changes to the Site
Not really much to post besides I updated WordPress (the script I use on here) to a new version, and changed the theme. Other than that, things are pretty much the same.

So I figured I would make a quick post about what I’ve been up to for those who care.
Yesterday I went to my friend John’s house to make up license plate mounts for my buddy Zack’s Dads plow truck – it was definitely fun to actually get out and do something for once instead of sitting here staring at a computer screen all day
I haven’t done much coding today, but I did go through and document the code a little bit so people who test it have at least some clue about what’s going on and what goes where
Today (so far) I have unloaded one load of stone, and will probably do one or two more. I also did one load yesterday before I went to John’s. Me and my Dad are also going to finally bury our Internet lines so they aren’t just laying on the ground.
Also, I probably wont post anything Friday-Sunday night because I will probably be at my girlfriends house helping her Dad split wood and spending some time with her
Oh yeah, I also finished the Battlefield 3 campaign today, but I’ll write a review on what I thought about it when I have time
So I’ve actually been surprisingly busy lately, including the fact that I have felt like complete shit the past couple of days which means I’m either doing stuff I have to do or I’m sleeping or laying down. But, somehow, I’ve managed to get stuff done ![]()

So I did something today I was hoping I would never have to do – I made it so you can only comment on my blog if you are a registered (and logged-in) user on my site. If you’re not, you can’t comment. Hopefully this will bring in some “actual” comments, but if not: I don’t mind talking to myself
haha
With Facebook launching the new time line profile soon, I figured now would be as good a time as any to make a tutorial on how to easily manage your profile once you have the new profile, as well as some changes that were made. Also, as a note, I will be expanding this post as I find more information and tips! So feel free to check back now and then to see if there’s new information
Managing Posts
While finding and deleting posts on your current profile isn’t very hard, it’s about the same to do on the new timeline. Basically, you put your mouse over a post – two icons will “pop up” to the right of the post. One of them is to highlight that post, which will expand the post to the width of your profile and make it more noticeable than the rest of your post(s).
Finding Old Posts
On your current profile, you don’t really need to “search” for your older posts, they simply load as you scroll down your, or a friends, profile. However, on the new time line you can find posts by year, as well as month.
Highlighting Important Moments
As it currently is, you cannot add a specific moment, i.e. getting your driver’s license, on your profile unless you post it as a status. However, with the new profile you can do just that! Simply go to the year (example: 2010), and roughly scroll down your time line (the middle line) until the time, and add the event. Note: You have to be on the middle line, or you will get confused. One way to know you can add an “event” or occasion is because you will see a little + icon on your line.
Want to highlight one event?
Often times, people like to highlight one event or thing that they do, or have done, that they are especially proud of. For me, I would have something related to website design or coding, as I do both of those things and am very proud of my work. However, say you wanted to highlight your recent marriage with a single picture – you can do just that by adding what Facebook refers to as a “cover”. To add one, simply hover over the right top side of your profile, and click “Add Cover” – from there, choose (or upload) an image; and you’re done!

While recently on a vacation with my Mom, Dad and my girlfriend Brie in Stockton, New York – my Mom found this sign. We were all pretty amused by it
If there is anything that annoys me about people, it’s that they are SO fucking ignorant! Is it honestly too much to ask that people not bitch every time Facebook decides to change something? Half the time, the changes aren’t even that bad – including the most recent one which I saw far too many complaints about.
It’s free, why complain? In my opinion, I think that people just complain to be heard. But the truth is, Facebook doesn’t care. Now hearing that may or may not come as a surprise to you – but it’s the cold, hard truth. In reality you can often make a suggestion that will be taken “to heart”, or it can simply be discarded – that is the discretion of the person you are making the suggestion to. In the case of Facebook, however, your opinion often doesn’t matter when it comes to changes they make to their website.
But why? I’m a loyal user of their website! Yes, but you don’t pay them to do their job – the income Facebook makes is based from you returning to the website, and advertisements. Just because you visit a website or register on it doesn’t mean that your opinion matters to the person, or people, who run the website. I’ve said it many, many times: If you don’t like a change, then leave. No one forces you to visit or use the site, so if you don’t like it then no one is forcing you to stay.
I know that this post seems rather condescending, but it’s not meant to be in any way; I am simply sick of people bitching and moaning every time Facebook decides to change something. Chances are you will still use the site everyday and adapt to the changes anyways.
Holy crap, it’s been awesome! So I finally got all of the issues with the site ironed out, got everything updated. Everything should be without error(s), besides maybe a few bad links here and there. Expect to see quite a bit of posts in the coming days; because I have a lot of news to post about since A) my last blog post, B) the time the site was down
Much appreciated for the information and share!

Basically, it’s been almost two months since I have posted a blog post (and actually kept it). So prepare yourself, this is going to be a long one (that’s what she said

So I have to start off by saying that I am quite impressed so far with the WordPress for iPhone/iPod touch app. Though blogging from such a small “keyboard” isn’t exactly convenient, I can see how it could be useful if you just want to post a quick excerpt or something
Even though the app does take advantage of landscape mode, it is still a bit haunting to type a lot of text such as this post. I assume if I typed more on my iPod, it wouldn’t be as bad – but I digress.
